Jarrod Bryan has worked as the Registrar of the Resource Management and Planning Appeal Tribunal for 19 years but has been seconded on short term appointments to various positions in State Government (Director Crown Law Services, Registrar of the Mental Health Tribunal and Guardianship and Administration Board). Most recently he was seconded to the position of Project Officer for the Single Tribunal Project for Tasmania 4 years ago and produced a Discussion Paper and Options Paper regarding the formation of a Single Tribunal for Tasmania. His opinions regarding Environmental Courts and Tribunals (including amalgamation of Tribunals) have been included in a United Nations Guide (Environmental Courts and Tribunals: A Guide for Policy Makers 2016). He is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Tasmania, holds a Masters in Environmental Planning and is a nationally accredited mediator, with experience in mediating thousands of matters in a broad range of disputes with a collective value of over 2 and a half billion dollars.
